Malibu Horror Story, a horror film that took a decade to film (2023)

And it finally premieres next October.

Poster, Date and Plot of “Malibu Horror Story”

The indie title that can be seen in theaters in the United States soon

On October 20 and ahead of the Halloween campaign, Malibu Horror Story will be released in limited theaters in the United States, the first official poster of which you can see below.

It is a found footage that will take place over ten years in Malibu, California, after the mysterious disappearance of four of the most popular boys at school after the prom.

A team of paranormal investigators enter a sacred cave in the hills of Malibu trying to find out what happened to the young people… What they will discover there will be a terrifying truth.

Scott Slone has been in charge of directing, writing and producing the film over ten years using 30 different cameras, several codes and drawings inspired by classics of the subgenre such as “Paranormal Activity” or “Cloverfield”.

This year is a little special, because it has just marked the premiere of a film that, in fact, has been in production for more than 10 years. Malibu Horror Story is a limited distribution film (for now it seems that it can only be seen in the United States) that has been recorded in more than 30 different formats that are combined in the final cut, in a ‘footage’ style similar to Paranormal Activity or The Blair Witch Project.
